Gravity Sketch is a UK-based startup specializing in 3D virtual reality sketching software. Their business spans international brands such as Ford and New Balance, as well as top universities in the design field across Europe and North America.
Challenges of a Fragmented Setup
Originally, the company’s website was developed using various custom WordPress plugins, making backend maintenance and updates difficult. Uploading images or modifying text on pages required locating specific corresponding fields, and cross-referencing content between the front and backend, leading to unnecessary time-consuming tasks. Additionally, as the website had been designed and developed by two different teams, there were slight inconsistencies in design across different pages, resulting in a lack of unified UI presentation.
A Dual-Faceted Solution
For this project, I focused on two key aspects to address these issues. First, I redesigned all website pages using Elementor, allowing the client to easily update content through a visual backend interface. Second, I established a structured design system within WordPress, defining a color scheme, typography, and the appearance of all UI components. This ensured visual consistency across all pages, strengthening the brand identity.
